Virtual Career Fair

CSU is preparing for our first-ever Virtual Career Fair! Virtually connect with over 132 employers looking to hire RAMS! This fair is for all majors and features different employers each day. Day One on September 22 focuses on employers in the Ag Science, Natural Resources, Technology, Computing, Biotech, Life Sciences and Health/Wellness industries. Day Two on September 23 focuses on Business, Social Services, Liberal Arts and Hospitality. We encourage students to check out both days regardless of their majors as employers are hiring across ALL disciplines on both days. We will be hosting a Practice Fair on Tuesday, September 15, from 11 am- 1 pm. Students are encouraged to sign up for sessions to practice for the Fall Career Fair.

What is a virtual career fair?

Virtual career fairs on Handshake give you the opportunity to meet recruiters and other employees through video sessions. You will learn more about employers hiring Rams and connect with employers that interest you.

Attending video sessions, instead of an in-person fair, means there is no waiting in line to talk to recruiters. When you register for a virtual career fair on Handshake, you sign up for specific session times—securing your spot to meet with the employers you are interested in.

There are two types of virtual fair sessions:

·        Group sessions. During these sessions you will join other students to meet with an employer. You will learn about job and internship opportunities, company culture, and more. You will also have an opportunity to ask your own questions.

·        One-on-one sessions. This is an opportunity to chat directly with a recruiter or employee ambassador about jobs and internships.

IMPORTANT: Recruiters will likely review your profile before a session, so be sure to update your Handshake profile with your role and location preferences, as well as skills, organizations, and work experience!
