Join the Key Communities Student Staff Team!

The Key Communities at the Collaborative for Student Achievement are looking for outstanding student leaders to serve as Mentors for students within the Key Communities. The Key Mentor and Leadership Coach positions are full-year commitments that play a pivotal role in the overall success of each community. Mentors will guide approximately 18-20 students first-year students who live in the Residence Halls, and who value academic excellence, service, leadership, appreciation for diversity, and community development*. Leadership Coaches will guide 20-25 second year and continuing students who also value academic excellence, service, leadership, appreciation for diversity and community development.

Key Mentors and Leadership Coaches will serve a dual role as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a Key Seminar class, as well as provide leadership and mentorship to students academically, socially and personally. Key Student Staff work closely with Collaborative for Student Achievement staff, the University Housing staff, Seminar Instructor, and Key Coordinators to implement the overall goals of the program. The deadline to submit an application for the Key Staff position is Friday, February 5, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

*NOTE: Key Student Staff are not required to live on campus in a residence hall.
